TNTA is a grassroots, not-for-profit corporation dedicated to restoring and preserving the Constitutional right to keep and bear arms for all Tennesseans. Our rights, privacy, and sovereignty are being slowly eroded by corrupt politicians who believe in government overreach and the violation of the Bill of Rights.
Formed in April of 2023 by activists from across our great state, TNTA is a non-partisan, single-issue coalition. We’ve put our political, religious, and ideological differences aside to unite in a common cause. We will not rest or be silent until the Second Amendment rights of all Tennesseans are secure.
Our right to bear arms, enshrined in the Bill of Rights, is independent of government oversight or voters' whims. We advocate for true constitutional carry and demand the nullification of all infringements upon our constitutional rights. We stand firm in protecting and upholding our irrevocable liberties as stipulated by our nation's founding document.
Ninety percent of active shooter events happen in gun-free zones. The Gun-Free School Zones Act of 1990 left our children vulnerable to homicidal psychopaths. It disenfranchised teachers, parents, and staff who would otherwise have the means to protect themselves and their students. Gun-Free zones violate our rights and leave citizens defenseless.
Red Flag Laws (or ERPOs) violate the 2nd, 4th, and 5th amendments. They allow judges and police to make ex parte judgments against citizens who have not been accused of, or charged with, any crime. These laws would codify government tyranny against citizens based on the potential for future crime. Under no circumstances should these laws be passed.
